When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

AUNT ALICE

The first person to grace my new blog is my Aunt Alice.  She is the mother of my cousins Judy, Tom, Debi, and Tracy.  When I was young, Aunt Alice raised me.  My mom and dad worked, and thanks to the grace of this gorgeous woman, I had somewhere to stay where I felt loved, protected, and valuable.

On Valentine's Day, Alice will be 85 years young.  She is a very faithful Christian woman with high morals and a beautiful spirit, who would do anything for her family and loves us all very much.  We feel the same way about her, by the way!

I asked Aunt Alice to be the first person on the blog entitled "My People" today, and I asked her a couple of questions.  First I asked her about her favorite childhood activity she was quick to tell me that was a very easy question to answer.  She used to cut the people and clothes from catalogs and make her own paper dolls to play with.

When I asked her what popped into her head when she thought about her life and the most memorable time of her life and why, she gave that no thought either.  She said, "I have had so many memorable moments in my life.  I think each time one of my children was born was something I will never forget.  Why?  It always reminds me that God still makes miracles."

Thank you to one of my role models and favorite people!
