When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

WEEK 2

Okay, time for a new discussion.  Thanks to you guys for participating in the travel one!  That was fun.

Next question:  When someone starts talking about books, what book pops into your mind as the one that made the biggest impression on you, good or bad?

  1. Definitely "Tuesdays with Morrie". So many life lessons in that book, for the author and the reader. He says "Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live." That's been said in so many quotes ("live like you were dying, live every day like it's your last" etc...) Morrie lived his days with dignity, respect, and fun, teaching us all life's greatest lesson.
There are other books I've loved so much, too many to name.
Also, Jodi Picoult's books are pretty thought provoking. Love her writing.

  2. Gosh, this is hard...there are way too many books that have left a lasting impression on me all for different reasons. But if I had to name one book it would be "To Kill a Mockingbird". This book talks to me on so many different levels and I use it's lessons to try and guide my children.

  4. Thanks for stopping by.

I read in my work (about 4,000 pages a month) and therefore I never read anything else except when I'm on vacation and then I read everything I can get my hands on. My favorite book to have read in the past few years is "The Secret Life of Bees." I am a horrible book reviewer (my daughter does that) so you'll just have to take my word for it that it has wonderful lessons for living life to the fullest, and when you close the cover after the last page you will have a smile on your face and have a peaceful feeling.
